The Role of Schools

Schools help in the progress of the community. It instills the students with moral values and knowledge. Children must be provided with an environment suitable for their play and development. Socializing and communication are very critical skills. These fundamental skills should be introduced to children from an early age. Schools play a major role in the development of these skills. There are two kinds of schools-International schools and domestic schools. An international school differs from a domestic school.

International School:

The syllabus of an international school is different from the country of residence. E.g., an Indian primary school in Dubai provides a syllabus of the CBSE board. CBSE syllabus is popular globally, contributing towards the overall and academic growth of students.

Domestic Schools:

The domestic schools include private and public schools. The government school provides compulsory education up to the age of 8, catering to the underprivileged sections of society. Private schools are non-subsidized by the government and collect tuition fees. They offer a superior educational environment and curriculum for the academic and comprehensive growth of students.

Global vs. Domestic Schools:

International schools suit ex-pat children well. These children adapt to the culture of different countries and the school. This is because international schools provide the same facilities globally. The career prospects are global for these students. Also, the international schools are expensive, setting high standards for the students and teachers of this school. To illustrate, primary schooling is free for Emiratis and mandatory for 5 to 15 years. Hence, an international primary school in Dubai plays an essential part in the education of other country's students there. Other domestic schools catering to the middle class and poorer sections of society allow the pupils to mingle within the community, encouraging the learning of local culture and language. The career prospects for these pupils are high locally.
